The middle class is not disappearing

 A tweet from Mark Perry.

"This chart can't be circulated enough to demonstrate that the US middle class is only "disappearing" because middle-class households are moving up into higher-income groups. The share of US households earning $100,000 or more (in constant dollars) has more than tripled from 13% in 1967 to 41% in 2023. The share of American households earning between $35,000 and $100,000 has declined from 55% in 1967 to 38% in 2023.
